An extremely rare and fine seal in the form of a mountain grotto, dotted with
pine, bamboo grooves amongst the thick forest, upon rugged cliffs; inhabited
by scholars in retreat and simple dwellings with thatched fence; two scholars
seen riding on donkeys on a bridge with high stilts over a passing stream,
one standing under a tree holding a zither and the other standing at the edge
of the rock; incised four-character seal script; walrus ivory; 18th century;
Qing dynasty; China. 2.44 inches (6.2 cm) high; 3 inches (7.6 cm) long.
Scholar duling soapstone seal; Qing dynasty (1644-1911); China. 1 inches (2.5 cm) in diameter.

A rare jet scholar seal with a crouching Bixie whose belly arches against the rectangular plinth, forming the suspension loop; carved seal in six-character seal script of Deng Ping -- Shi Cang Shu or the book collected by -- in Deng Ping; inscription dated to the Autumn of bingxu year (corresponding to the year 1766); 18th century Qing dynasty; China. 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) long.
